VAT Throughput And Head of Tax was created by rico
In ‚Roadmap of Indirect Tax Function Effectiveness’ we quoted benchmark findings and overall problem is that indirect tax is often still a low priority to senior management. Senior management is not only C-level but also the Head of Tax as that is often were the corporate indirect tax function directly reports to. Without the right prioritization and sponsorship no time and money is spent on designing a right and proper VAT Control Framework.

Some questions:
  1. What is the the amount of VAT throughput that is under management?
  2. What is the impact if 0,05% goes wrong on Earnings per Share
  3. What is the top 5 of the company’s indirect tax risk areas
  4. How are these areas managed and by whom?
  5. What tax assessment in the worst case scenario is still considered at an acceptable level?
  6. How is this threshold internally tested?
How many Head of Tax are able to answer one of these questions?
